Year 3 Level 2a-3b. Year 4 Level 3. Year 5 Level 3b-4c. Year 6 Level 4. By the end of Year 6, about 75 per cent of children will achieve a Level 4. WebJul 13, 2024 · Reading Development Stage 1: Pre-Reading/Emergent Readers. The first and most important stage is when children show an interest in reading and voluntarily pick up a book. They need exposure to quality and entertaining literature. Our job is to encourage this interest and develop it into a love of books and reading.
