It needs to have sufficient rocker on both ends, A reasonably durable 16 footer can weigh as little as 130 pounds, like the one in my back yard. It has been decent but not spectacular under oars. I have a 25 Tohatsu on it and it is a great combo. Even the 20 might have been enough, but I wanted the extra power.
