WebCisco has bought Linksys a few years ago to get into the Home Network market, and since then has dominated the SMB market as well. Linksys was then sold to Belkin which is the current owner. Cisco recently has announced the Grand Prize winner of its competition for the best overall home network using Cisco equipment. WebCisco bought Linksys and continued selling the phone but dropped the iPhone name, selling it as the CIT200. iPhone was nowhere on the box or in the documentation. Then Cisco let the trademark expire. Cisco sought to renew their trademark when rumors started circulating of an Apple phone that may be named iPhone (going off iPod).
