WebJul 28, 2007 · 9 Posts. Discussion Starter · #1 · Jul 17, 2007. I have a 2003 Ford Taurus SE 3.0, automatic. When I start the car there is a loud chirping noise coming from the front end. The loud noise goes away after the car is warmed up but is replaced by a constant low chirping noise. I have no idleing problems, loss of power, or check engine light. The Synchronizer has been known to fail without a CEL or codes. Second, try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from right after you start it. Get a helper if necessary.
