I noticed the driver's side drl bulb was burned out approximately a week ago (so ~5/12/2024), when I when to remove it to see what size bulb was needed part of the projector housing broke off with the bulb. The dealership urged me to pay $150 for a diagnostic fee to identify the problem. Thankfully before purchasing anything I read this forum! I unplugged each one, including the seperate connection inside the back of the housing that leads to the HID bulb itself. They seemed fine, but plugged them back in securely. I would personally spend the money and replace the bulb and the ballast as a set just to be on the safe side. It shouldn't be the battery, or both sides would flicker.
